New Found Glory - It's Not Your Fault |
] |
Brooke Lynn Saunders was born November 15th 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts to Steven Saunders and Meredith Jenkins. Marrying short after this was his second marriage, and Meredith’s first. The only thing they had in common was their drug of choice unknown to anyone but the two of them. After one more birth another little girl they named Rain they decided to split after an awakening of their father who then decided to get help for his addiction and take full custody of the girls. Brooke was always like a Mother Goose type of person always trying to take care of her little sister and helping their father out. It was a lot of responsibility for the young child that was only seven years old at the time. After her father reformed into a respectable man he once again found another woman and they married a short time after. Brooke noticed a pattern with her father. Two more children, another sister named Ivory and a little brother named Grayson. Brooke was more than ecstatic to have new siblings. Then again, the woman split feeling that it was too much responsibility to take care of four children the two very close in age so she abandoned them once more leaving Brooke to become mother figure once more. Just when she thought that would be the last siblings, and or mother she would have her father just started having sexual affairs resulting in two more children Bristol and Sage. He obviously didn’t have the best in names. He didn’t have custody of those two but they did come over often to see them, much to their dismay an old high school flame got back into contact with him letting him know he had his oldest child, Hunter. It wasn’t long before he decided to live with his father.
Growing up in such a large family, Brooke had always been used to cleaning, helping cook, and doing laundry just to help her father out while he was at work. With Hunter there now she had some more help and of course the neighbor, Carol that would constantly help out, as well as her children playing with her it was like one big babysitting fest most of the time. Her children were much older except for her youngest that was a few weeks older than Brooke herself. She found her best friend in that family. Sadie, a girl a little older than herself and Ethan, he brother. She and Ethan were like two peas in a pod; even though he was a little older they would take weekend trips to the library, write stories and just let their imagination get to them. They were very good friends until he graduated and took off to California to carry on his dream to be a musician. Brooke was a little hurt that she lost her best friend but she moved on in life occasionally calling and writing the man every time either one of them had time.
High school is where everyone gets into the mold of how their adult lives are going to be, or so they say. Brooke had blossomed into a beautiful young lady that a lot of guys seemed to like. Though they never really got through to her and her since her head was always in the clouds and her face in a book. Though her friend Mark, she had known as the new kid since middle school had seemed to hit it off. He was horrible at sports but still preferred to play then with his best friends. She liked that he was shy and adorable for it. The nervous wreck of a boy seemed to make her laugh when he first asked her out on a date. Of course she said yes and they had a decent relationship for most of high school. She still to this day wasn’t sure what made her break it off with him or if he broke it off first, but they still remained good friends and that was more than okay in her book.
After high school Brooke really didn’t want to go to a big college, she had an attachment with her family that just made her nervous to go somewhere big without them. Enrolling in a small community college in town she decided to take nursing as a major and met up with her old neighbor, Sam. Sam wasn’t just an neighbor he was Ethan’s brother and Carol’s son. Getting together he was something she never though he would be. A manipulative, verbally abusive man. No lie, she felt trapped and even more so when she found out she was pregnant by the man that claimed the voices in his head were telling him that it wasn’t his child. Things took a really wrong turn until the Day she was born August 15, 2004. Chastity Lynn Lander. She finally got the courage to leave him and moved into a small apartment close to the job that she had at the time. It was only the two of them and that’s all they needed in her eyes. Sam had moved out of state and she lived comfortably for a few years.
Her father moving to Chicago was kind of heart breaking for her but she knew that he also needed a change of pace with everything. He had two new children Austin and Logan, two bright eyed twin boys and another divorce under his belt. She hoped he would find happiness eventually. When she got the news that he grandfather was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy her whole world changed. Moving out to Chicago to help him, moving her and Chastity back into the house to care for her grandfather. She once again met up with Ethan. This was the happiest thing that could happen to her. Until he confessed his love for her, and the fact that he had felt that way since she had hit puberty. At the time she was taken and she wanted to deny the feelings for Ethan all at the same time, but she just couldn’t letting herself fall into him they began seeing each other officially and got married a short time later after she found out she was pregnant with her second child. On April 18, 2009 Adelle Elizabeth Lander was brought into the world. It was one of the happiest days for both of them, even though they were in the middle of a pretty big move from Chicago to Ne York. After she came home Ethan stayed a while before making his way out there to buy a house while her brother decided to rent their home from them for his own. Even though it was a little early for them to go Brooke and Adelle made their way to New York to start a new life.
